Most refunds take 4 to 6 months once filed with the IRS.
Send us your Form 1042-S (or casino win slip). This form shows your total winnings and the amount of tax withheld by the IRS. If you’ve lost your 1042-S, we can help you request a replacement from the casino or gaming facility — there’s no extra cost for this service. Once we review your documents, we’ll confirm your eligibility and estimate your potential refund.
If you don’t already have an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number), we’ll help you apply for one. As an IRS-Authorized Acceptance Agent (CAA), we can verify your identity and submit the ITIN application directly to the IRS for you. Once your ITIN is approved, it’s yours to keep for future filings. This makes any future refund claim faster and easier.
Once your ITIN is ready (or if you already have one), we’ll prepare and file your U.S. Non-Resident Tax Return (Form 1040-NR) with the IRS. The IRS will then review your claim and issue your refund by cheque in U.S. dollars, mailed directly to your address. When you receive your refund, simply let us know. At that point, you’ll receive your final invoice — following our policy: No refund, no fee.
